About Us

Bosa Modest Wear is a mother-daughter brand rooted in family, tradition, and creativity.

What began as a simple love for sewing grew into something much more meaningful. Mom (Mariamu) had spent years sewing garments for family members, finding joy in turning beautiful fabrics into pieces that could be worn, loved, and passed on. Over time, she shared that love with Mwana (her daughter), patiently teaching her the art of sewing- how to choose fabrics, shape patterns, and bring a garment to life stitch by stitch.

Through those shared moments at the sewing table, their passion grew into a shared dream. Together, they decided to transform their love for sewing into a business that celebrates craftsmanship, family, and cultural heritage.

The name Bosa reflects their clan name, honoring the family roots that inspire everything they create. Their logo features a palm tree, a symbol of the Kenyan coastal region where their family comes from. That coastal heritage represents modesty, warmth, resilience, and beauty- qualities they hope to reflect in every piece they make.

At Bosa Modest Wear, each garment is created with care, intention, and a deep appreciation for the traditions that shaped them. What started as a mother teaching her daughter to sew has grown into a brand built on family, culture, and the joy of creating something meaningful together.
